IBA Professor Lee Kibong falls to the "Big Bad Wolf", Andy Liu

Background:
After having defeated zchen in a stunning battle yesterday, Professor Lee Kibong from the International Baduk Academy (IBA) returned for another game today against bigbadwolf 9d of KGS, Andy Liu.  Andy has been playing a bit more often on KGS, always giving spectators a great show.  Hence, it wasn't a surprise to see over 500 spectators for today's game between LeeKibong 8d KGS and bigbadwolf 9d KGS!

I'll remind anybody that missed previous articles that bigbadwolf on KGS is, in fact, Andy (Zhi Yuan) Liu, having an AGA rating of 9.2677.  Added to this, he is still only 17 years old!

Lee Kibong, the player that was in the spotlight yesterday, is a Korean 7d that lives in Seoul.  He also participated in a recent interview for the Goama baduk newsletter.

In this game, some spectators found move L13 to be interesting, and to some, questionable.  Decide for yourself what you think of this move.  White's invasion at L3 seemed rather profitable, leaving two cutting points at L5 and J5.  In a short series of moves following, white constructed a large body of territory on the left, and later captured center stones at K10 and G10, leaving white with not a lot of territory in comparison.  Black was able to reduce the left side a bit, but it seems to have not been enough.

After 222 moves of fascinating game-play by both sides, Lee Kibong was left without a way to come back, ending the game with his resignation.

Join the other 500 or so KGS spectators that watched the game today, and enjoy the show!
