Why did Koichi Kobayashi choose "3586" as his handle ?

Koichi Kobayashi is a Japanese living legend, one of the very few GO players who won more than 1200 professional games. I admire Kobayashi so much. Because he has such a deep soul and mind, I was sure that 3586 is not a phone number or a random digit-listing. So I've tried to discover the meaning of this mystery number.
What I found is very touching. It is something about religion symbols, pain and sorrow. I am not an expert on religion and the Bible, but I know something about pain and sorrow like any other human being on this planet.
3586 is one of the strong numbers in the Bible (xulon in old Greek) which means "wood". But not any wood, "the trunk of a tree used to support the cross-bar of a cross in crucifixion" or "a log or timber with holes in which the feet, hands, neck of prisoners were inserted and fastened with thongs". Very sad , indeed ! It is about somebody who felt crucified and lives a terrible suffering.  I think is about his lovely wife, Reiko, the daughter of Minoru Kitani, who died unexpectedly in 1996. And the pain is still here, forever. Koichi and Reiko have a daughter, Izumi, one of the best female GO player in Japan.
And this is not all. On page 3586, from "Origins and Creationism Conspiracy", we find this question :" Can anyone define what God is ?" Maybe a rhetorical question to explain the reason of our uncontrollable  destiny.
What can I say more ? It might be just a strange coincidence. I read about Shinto and Buddhism being the main religions in Japan, so it is somehow surprising to find a Japanese handle with symbols from Christianity.
Today Kobayashi played a wonderful game against another Japanese, "qaqa0", who had 6 consecutive wins before this meeting. Maybe this good result was the justification for his aggressive and optimistic play, that turned against him causing to lose the center stones. The subtle way in which white surrounded the center group, with some preparatory moves from the distance, made me think it would be a good idea to enjoy this game together. Kobayashi is now very close to  the border of 40000 rating points, a land of the few chosen players.

But if you like, I will not use this word :)

To breakfast, just curious:

Why do you call it "greedy" and not "territorial" instead? Greed implies a negative attitude, which would let someone assume that his style may be a mistake. Do you think that way?

sandor, you check only kunyomi, but it can be onyomi too (5=ko, 8=ba) or a mixture of onyomi and kunyomi..

Goroawase ?! Hmmm...
I do not imagine kobayashi sending this message : mitsu-itsutsu-yutsu-mutsu !
More likely something similar to this article (which I find beautiful).

Adrian Petrescu, I feel, he can be real Kobayashi. I know his style well. He is usually very greedy in fuseki - pays lot of attention to getting territory

Yes, very possible, tema.
I was just shocked by the strange discovery of 3586 meaning (perhaps other than intended), that still fits like a glove with the destiny of Kobayashi.

What do you mean, breakfast? Is 3586 not actually the real Koichi?
