KGS superstar kghin lost 11 (!) games in a row! On May 5 he lost to Norway9d, after that 6 games straight to simple2009, one game to unknownplr and somerville, 2 games straight to grubbyfork. All these games were rated games I thought, kghin will go down to 7d KGS, but he is still 8d. And you cannot even notice this slamp in his graph. His Go is getting better now. Kghin won simple2009 yesterday (you can see this game here) and few minutes ago kghin beat grubbyfork, 9-dan. It seems that kghin is studing hard. He has a goal - showing good results in Asian games. From his profile: "The champion of the Hong Kong Qualifier -- Go event held on 3-4 April 2010 for the coming 16th Asian Games -- Go Event (to be held on 20-26 November 2010 in Guangzhou of China). Resolve to be a solid and stronger 9d on both KGS and Tygem before my participating the said Asian Games." Will be a hard tournament. I heard that China, Korea and Japan are planning to send their top pros (Lee Sedol, Lee Changho ...) What do you think about khgin's chances in Asian games?

Have any of the servers looked at the ratings of a set of members who have both blitz and longer time accounts? They could check to see if there is much difference between blitz and longer time accounts.

In April I already expected him go down to 7D... If you see his gamelist from 13.4. you will see, he just won 10 % of his games (2-18 in a row), and his graph rank doesnt even have any significant deterioration!

Maybe you should tell artem92 he should stop playing against weaker ones, he could well be 9D for long time! What do you think about?

btw: grubbyfork has never been 9D on KGS or did we missed something?

Tygem and IGS autodemote or auto raise people for 10 losses or 10 wins in a row. This would fix some of the flaws in kgs rating system. also I think blitz shouldnt count towards rating. ....or that it should be a different rating.
