Tygem Star "attractive" 9d Shows Again Just Why His Playing Style is Attractive!

A match today on Tygem brought at least 613 observers as 아쉬워서/attractive battled ferociously against one powerhouse from China known as tdqm 9d.  A fascinating part of watching this game was the fact that 코브라더스 9d, suspected by many to be Kim Sung-Ryong 9p, participated in some of the kibitz, commenting a little on the game.  For those of you that don't know Kim Sung-Ryong 9p, he is a popular commentator on BadukTV, and also a pretty nice guy.  I had the honor of speaking briefly with him in person two years ago, and he is also one of the pros involved in the King's Baduk Academy.  From my experience, he has seemed rather enthusiastic about promoting go in the west.

Getting back to the players, a previous article here on GoSensations.com (http://gosensations.com/index.php?id=2&server_id=4&new_id=348) also features 아쉬워서/attractive in an earlier battle against hua 9d.  Still, little is known about his or her identity.  Nonetheless, pros are certainly interested in 아쉬워서/attractive's play, considering breakfast's comment that Park Jieun 9p claimed that 아쉬워서/attractive was her favorite Tygem star.  Added to this, 아쉬워서/attractive's win rate as a 9d is still over 64%!

아쉬워서/attractive's opponent, tdqm has a winning rate of just over 50% as a 9d, but as uchanga 9d has stated in his recent interview (http://gosensations.com/index.php?id=2&server_id=4&new_id=417), all 9d on Tygem are usually very good players, making it difficult to show good results even for professionals and top inseis.

But aside from knowing who the players are, we can see their sensationally intense play, simply by looking at their game record!  Play seemed quite active, leading to a large fight throughout the center of the board, as the two players struggled for power over one another.  Black strategically surrounded the white stones in the bottom left corner, all the while maintaining the life of his own groups.

In the end, the "attractive" player was once again victorious, but tdqm 9d certainly displayed a great deal of fighting spirit!

Take a bit of time out of your day today to watch through this game.  It was certainly a good way to start the morning for me!

Black 19 is very rare move which was invented few months ago in China.
I did not see it in Korean games yet.
Who will be the first Korean, who use it in tournament? It will be a good hint :)
