King of Kings (last 32) : from 16 - 20 June

The list of last 32 has been completed with 3 Korean newcomers ( "Nice7", "gaofeng(P)" and "god2" ), so we can say that the tournament is now entering the final straight line. There is no more mystery about the pairings and the future King of Kings is someone among these 32 players. The only mystery is who will be that lucky someone. The 3 Koreans have balanced a little bit the table : China (19 players) to Korea (13 players).

                                                                      June 16

"gjopok" (Korea) - "ShuiYX(P)" (China)                        "parang(P)" (Korea)  - "zhoury" (China)
"Nice7" (Korea) - "silent(P)" (China)                             "dark(P)" (Korea) - "rrx" (China)

                                                                       June 17

"kobra" (Korea) - "kongm(P)" (China)                            "allKO(P)" (China) - "wubianqy" (China)
"lengyuye" (China) - "FanTuan(P)" (China)                    "Dcember(P)" (Korea) - "xg(P)" (China)

                                                                       June 18

"YHPak" (Korea) - "LingS(P)" (China)                            "god2" (Korea) - "lxlx" (China)
"Strive(P)" (China) - "gaoshan" (China)                         "sxkr" (China) - "810214" (Korea)

                                                                      June 20

"gaofeng(P)" (Korea) - "Iamcoming" (China)                   "IamVVIP" (Korea) - "whitetee" (China)
"tmch" (China) - "wldop" (Korea)                                     "kingater" (Korea) - "wulu123" (China)

Untill then, let's keep a track of idontca1's efforts to get back in shape. It is interesting that many of his recent games are against players qualified for this new stage of King of Kings, like "Strive(P)", "lxlx", "allKO(P)" or "sxkr".
Today he met "ddcg", another great Chinese player and one of his constant adversaries. The beautiful part of the game consists of a long KO that was transferred from the top left corner to the right top corner and lasted until the last move.
How strong and how dangerous is "ddcg" you may learn from another game between the same players at : http://www.gosensations.com/index.php?id=2&server_id=4&new_id=1011

                                                    "idontca1" 9D, Korea : 172 - 64 (36976 p)

                                                    "ddcg" 9D, China : 601 - 216 (38461 p)

haha i just looked at the rrx dark(P) game. Comedy ending which made me check out rrx's info. his record as 9d is pretty nice (132-50 / 19-1). Not sure if the other 9ds are strong but if they are he surely has to be feared!!

"biohazard" was seeded in group 9 and he lost by forfeit against "hellboy" (Korea).
"mvp(P)" lost in round 5 against "Iamcoming" (China).
It would have been nice to see "3586" and "detective" too.

i think all three are strong 9d, just look at their opponents. anyone who can beat tryorty, whitetee, hua or Strive(P) have to be strong 9d.
i was hoping that they put some strong japanesse players to the tournament (detective, biohazard, mvp(P), 3586 ...). do you know how they choose the newcomers?

I don't know yet and it is interesting that both gaofeng (P)(http://www.gosensations.com/?id=2&server_id=4&new_id=1126) and Nice7 (http://gosensations.com/?id=2&server_id=4&new_id=1032) have stirred some controversy in the past with their fluctuating evolutions.

Thanks for the updates as always.Do we know why these three got to join at such a late stage?
I had a quick look at their infos. gaofeng(P) does indeed look like a pretty strong 9d but the other two don't seem all that special?
