Roseduke 9d vs aaaaaqqyy 9d. Is Victor Chow playing on Tygem?

I came across Roseduke on Tygem today. Some of you may know that it's the name used by Victor Chow on IGS and KGS back then. He is a top amateur from South Africa, playing for it several times at the WAGC, and had already beaten pros, even twice in the same tournament. see Sensei's Library.

Roseduke on Tygem may very well be him.

The game proceed calmly until  move 40, both players seem very territorial and take low positions.

Then white suddenly got 2 weak groups to take care of. He managed to save one, and sacrifice the other and some center prospects for a larger corner. In the end black managed to create a big center and won by a large margin.

Strange. Victor changed his style?
I thought, he always plays weird moves in fuseki like 5-5, 6-4 and others

No - as white he almost always opens with 4-4 and then 3-3. If he plays black you can still expect to see 6-4, 5-5 opening.
